Removing an existing task from an ongoing event.

As a first step, go to "Events" tab from the menu bar on the left. Click on "Pencil" icon on the event's description which you want to edit.
Navigate to section/task which you want to delete, for an example let's assume organiser wants to delete the Twitter follow task deleting this task would work in this manner.
Edit button > Social Configurations > click on the Twitter follow task > click on Delete > save
Click on the task to delete.
Click on "Delete" and save the event.
